/NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO U.S. NEWS WIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE U.S./
Calgary, Alberta - (Marketwire -- 1:00PM MST on Monday, May 10, 2010) Cortex Business Solutions Inc. (TSXV: CBX) ("Cortex" or the "Company") and its partner Powervision Software are pleased to announce that Murphy Oil & a Calgary based Energy Trust, referenced in our January press releases, are live on the Cortex Trading Partner Network (the "Network"). Both projects went live in the last couple weeks and their initial customers have starting sending documents and transacting on our Network.
These two projects are fundamental to our Company. While both present the opportunity to increase the value of our Network, they also increase the value of our service to our current customer base. With each new connection to our Network, our clients have the ability to transact electronically with more of their customers and trading partners sending business critical documents such as purchase orders, work receipts and invoices to each other in a timely and accurate manner over our Network.
Over the next few months, Cortex will be on-boarding crossover and net new suppliers for these customers. Combined, Murphy Oil and the Energy Trust Company have over 1,600 crossover and net new supplier connections for Cortex. This activity will drive our sales and delivery teams productivity and open up new opportunities for integration sales with our current customer base.
Powervision and Cortex are dedicated and focused on optimizing purchase to payment and invoicing processes for corporations by implementing electronic procurement, invoicing and document management solutions. In the end, our customers reduce costs, streamline their procure-to-pay process and improve business controls.
